Retail Shift Leader

Job Overview EZCORP is seeking a Retail Shift Leader (Key Holder) at EZPAWN located at 803 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78237. The role offers a starting hourly rate of $15.00 – $17.00, with the potential for a $0.50 raise after completing a 5‑week paid training program. Following training, you may transition to a Lead Pawnbroker position and pursue further advancement such as Assistant Manager. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service and build solid relationships with customers. Promote sales and facilitate pawn transactions, including loans and extensions. Set a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment that distinguishes EZPAWN from competitors. Perform opening and closing store procedures. Supervise and coach store team members. Negotiate terms and resolve customer issues regarding pawned items. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or key holder role. Strong leadership, negotiation, time‑management, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to read and manage customer needs, and build ongoing relationships. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Successful criminal background check and drug test. Knowledge of commonly pawned items (tools, jewelry, firearms, electronics) is a plus. Sales experience and bilingual language skills are a plus. Must be able to drive to the store location and meet scheduling requirements.
