Behavior Intervention Specialist Location: Queens, Brooklyn & Long Island, NY (Field-Based) Job Type: Full-Time Contract Pay Rate: $38-$42/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-Time About the Opportunity We are partnering with an organization dedicated to supporting adults with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence, stability, and quality of life. Through a person-centered, community-based approach, the organization provides residential and clinical support services across Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island. We are seeking an experienced Behavior Intervention Specialist to provide clinical support across Individual Residential Alternatives (IRAs). This is an excellent opportunity for a Master's-level clinician with OPWDD experience seeking a full-time contract position with a mission-driven organization. Key Responsibilities Provide behavioral intervention support to adults residing in OPWDD IRAs. Conduct site visits across multiple homes/apartments to assess and support implementation of behavior support plans. Promote resident independence while fostering a supportive, home-like environment. Collaborate with residential staff, clinical teams, and families to support each resident's growth and quality of life. Ensure services align with OPWDD regulations and best practices. Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Travel throughout Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island, with periodic travel to the Hauppauge office and trainings/meetings in Manhattan. Qualifications Master's-level Psychologist or LMHC required. Minimum 1-3 years of OPWDD clinical experience. Experience working with the adult population in a residential (IRA) setting. In-depth knowledge of OPWDD services, regulations, and best practices required. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be computer literate.
