Inventory Associate

Inventory Associate Job Code: ASS-SCM-INV | Band: Level 06 | Role: Associate | Direct/Indirect Indicator: Indirect General Overview Entry-level position where the employee receives both functional and organizational training under close supervision. Incumbents carry out assignments within well-defined practices, procedures, and policies, working independently on details while most decisions are guided by the immediate supervisor. The role involves routine work on inventory management, supporting colleagues and participating as a team member. The position is supervised closely and requires direction on how assignments are to be executed. Responsibilities Coordinate activities of cycle counters across business areas. Monitor activities to ensure proper priorities and deployment. Identify process issues and opportunities for improvement. Assist with variance analysis to identify root causes. Report cycle count findings and assist in implementing process improvements. Track and follow up on process improvements. Communicate initiatives across business areas. Present cycle count findings, write-offs, and process improvements to senior management. Provide training, support, and mentoring to NCM Specialists. Develop and implement process changes to enhance current processes. Facilitate monthly meetings to give team technical or business updates. Provide training on NCM for site employees. Perform audits on physical processes and adherence to procedures. Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Basic knowledge of production planning, scheduling, materials requirements planning, and manufacturing control systems. Knowledge of warehouse, distribution, inventory control, and shipping/receiving practices. Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis, data interpretation, and issue resolution. Basic math skills. Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records of material movement. Effective communication with a wide variety of internal customers. Leadership ability to guide a group of employees. Computer application proficiency (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Effective verbal and written communication with internal and external customers. Physical Demands Performed in a normal office environment. Requires extended periods of sitting and visual concentration on a computer or detailed data. Frequent repetitive manual movements such as data entry, computer mouse use, and calculator use. Typical Experience Zero to two years of relevant experience. Typical Education Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience. Educational requirements may vary by geography.
