Core Responsibilities

Patient Evaluation

• Assess patients' functional status, strength, mobility, and overall physical condition.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient-specific goals and needs.

Therapeutic Interventions

• Administer skilled physical therapy treatments and procedures to improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.

Education

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on prescribed exercises, adaptive techniques, injury prevention, and the proper use of assistive devices.
• Promote patient engagement and self-management strategies to support recovery.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment interventions, patient progress, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and support successful transitions of care.

Qualifications & Requirements

✅ Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.

✅ Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required , preferably in an acute care setting.

✅ Active Florida Physical Therapist License in good standing.

✅ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

✅ Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient education skills.

✅ Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and safely lift or move patients and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
