This position is critical in developing a pipeline of professionals who will contribute to the future of Weller Brothers. The Recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers and leadership to assess staffing needs and implement recruitment strategies for seasonal, full-time, and on-the-job learning roles. A strong understanding of candidate sourcing, interview processes, and recruitment best practices is essential to effectively attract qualified individuals who align with Weller Brothers' values and culture. In addition to recruitment efforts, the Recruiter will also be responsible for the creation and management of internship and apprenticeship programs in all branch locations, along with overseeing student learning opportunities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and competency satisfactorily. Effectively communicate with branch and hiring managers to identify positions to fill and forecast hiring needs. Develop detailed job descriptions and specifications that accurately reflect the skills, qualifications, and experience required for each role. Identify opportunities to engage and grow our workforce pipeline for current and future hiring needs. Ensure the Applicant Tracking System is up-to-date with job postings and candidate dispositions. Review resumes and applications to identify top candidates based on qualifications and experience. Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidates’ skills, cultural fit, and alignment with company values. Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and ensure a smooth, effective interview process. Provide recommendations to hiring managers based on candidate evaluations and screenings. Coordinate new hire check-ins to ensure team member retention remains at or above industry standards. Oversee new hire onboarding to ensure a seamless transition into the organization. Facilitate introductions and help new hires integrate into the company culture and team. Identify, maintain, and grow all school relationships, including but not limited to high schools and colleges. Facilitate career fair opportunities and classroom visits. Travel to job fairs, schools, community events, and other recruiting activities as needed to build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. Track and report on recruitment metrics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, Continuously refine recruitment strategies to improve candidate sourcing, engagement, and retention. Develop and manage internship and apprenticeship programs to create a pipeline of future talent. Work with department leaders to ensure these programs provide valuable learning experiences for participants. Ensure that recruitment practices are compliant with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay up to date on industry trends, recruitment tools, and best practices to continuously improve recruitment efforts. Maintain clear, consistent communication with hiring managers, HR, and leadership throughout the recruitment process. Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and candidate status. Oversee proper execution of our internship and apprenticeship programs. Make decisions that are in the best interest of the company. Professional communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team . Ability for overnight travel to recruiting events outside of Sioux Falls EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma/GED required. An Associate's degree or equivalent work experience Minimum one year of professional experience in internal recruiting Experience with UKG preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
