Description

• Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using a blend of standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans designed to meet both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting aspects such as language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to formulate integrative care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and families to support their progress in between therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring continuity of care throughout the healing journey.
• Ensure meticulous and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in continuous learning and stay abreast of advancements in the field through professional development and peer collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
