Manage the day-to-day operations of the skilled nursing facility, including full P&L responsibility, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, resident and family satisfaction, workforce performance, and overall operational results. The Nursing Home Administrator provides executive leadership for the facility, plans, implements, and evaluates all aspects of operations, and ensures services are delivered in accordance with Cogir Senior Living standards and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Recruits, develops, and leads a highly functioning team while maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, employees, physicians, providers, regulators, business partners, and the surrounding community.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE

• Five to eight years of progressive leadership experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, senior living, or healthcare management, with prior experience leading a skilled nursing facility strongly preferred. 
• Demonstrated success with regulatory compliance, survey readiness, quality outcomes, employee engagement, census development, and financial performance. 
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, CMS requirements, and reimbursement and operational systems applicable to skilled nursing. 

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, gerontology, nursing, or a related field is required. 
• Master’s degree is preferred.

LICENSURE

• Current, active Nursing Home Administrator license in the state of employment is required and must remain in good standing. 
• Must meet all federal and state requirements applicable to the administrator of record for a skilled nursing facility.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The position requires the ability to perform executive and administrative duties in a healthcare setting, including frequent walking throughout the facility, standing, sitting, computer and telephone use, reading and interpreting clinical, financial, and regulatory information, communicating in person and by telephone, and responding effectively in stressful or emergent situations. The role requires sustained concentration, sound decision-making, organization, planning, analysis, documentation, coordination, and public contact. The administrator must be able to comply with facility safety and emergency procedures and identify, report, and resolve potentially hazardous conditions. • Must be able to respond to facility needs outside of normal business hours and participate in an administrator-on-call structure as required.
