Radiology - X-Ray Tech

X-Ray Technologist

Schedule: Mon - Thurs 10p-7:30a. On call required, with 2-3 call shifts per month. Must be able to report within 30 minutes for on call shifts.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State license (or able to obtain license prior to starting)
• 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center
• Ability to move or lift patients
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience using c-arm/o-arm in the past 8 months
• Recent operating room experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders before procedures.
• Utilize x-ray equipment to capture high-quality radiographic images.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients and address any questions.
• Position patients safely and appropriately, including assisting patients with limited mobility.
• Monitor patient status and respond to age-specific needs during procedures.
• Ensure accurate record keeping by properly identifying images and sending them to the appropriate system.
• Notify management of any equipment issues promptly.

• Must adhere to on-call requirements and responsiveness guidelines.
