Saw Operator

Pay Range: $18-$24 Position Summary Responsible for identifying materials per print, moving materials throughout shop and operating horizontal band saw all in a safe and timely manner. Job Responsibilities Operate CNC horizontal band saw Change out blades and set up machine properly Maintain minimal-to-no rework or scrap Operate fork trucks and overhead cranes safely Keep work area clean and organized Other duties as assigned Experience and Skills Able to read metric and standard tape measure Able to read and interpret blueprints Basic computer skills High attention to detail and quality Must work well under pressure Good team player with organizational and time management skills Able to operate fork trucks and overhead cranes safely Able to keep work area clean and organized Environmental, Health and Safety Understand the Company’s EHS Policy and how it relates to this job Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EHS procedures Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures Attend required EHS training Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
