Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant | Family Medicine

Job Summary Sanford Health, Marshfield Clinic is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Family Medicine team at the Cornell Clinic. The role provides advanced nursing care to patients of all ages, from infants to older adults, performing assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers. Responsibilities include conducting physical exams, interpreting histories and diagnostic tests, diagnosing and treating common medical conditions, prescribing medications within the scope of practice, developing individualized care plans, providing health education, managing follow-up care, coordinating referrals, performing minor procedures such as wound care and suturing, documenting patient care in the electronic health record, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining current knowledge of evidence‑based guidelines. Qualifications Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Preferred: If APRN was licensed prior to August 1, 1995, a master’s degree in nursing is preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in each state of practice. Current DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances. State Controlled Substance License (if required). National board certification as a Family (FNP‑C) or (FNP‑BC). Must obtain and maintain required competencies and certifications as outlined on the privilege form.
