Job Description
The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in inventory management. This role involves coordinating receiving, storage, and distribution activities, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations
- Supervise warehouse leads and associates
- Oversee shipping, receiving, inventory, freight, and local delivery operations
- Drive safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement
- Coach and develop team members
- Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Operations
- Maintain warehouse equipment, facility, and OSHA compliance
- Hands-on leadership in a fast-paced distribution environment
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse management or distribution leadership experience required
- Experience leading supervisors or multiple warehouse departments preferred
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Inventory and ERP/WMS experience
- Forklift experience preferred
- Clean driving record
- Willing to travel to Houston 2-3 times per year
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR
Our Illinois operation is a small distribution warehouse with approximately 10 employees , so we're looking for a hands-on leader who is comfortable jumping in wherever needed rather than someone who has only managed very large distribution centers.
