Controller

Our client, a fast growing, private equity backed organization, is seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead its accounting function and partner closely with executive leadership. This role offers the opportunity to drive financial accuracy, improve processes, and support growth initiatives, including M&A activities. Responsibilities Lead the accounting team and oversee all core functions (the close process, AR/AP, compliance) Own the monthly close and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting Maintain strong internal controls and GAAP‑compliant policies Drive improvements in systems, processes, and automation Oversee inventory accounting, costing, and margin reporting Manage cash flow, working capital, and a 13‑week forecast Lead audit, tax, and compliance efforts Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives, including M&A Requirements CPA required (but can be inactive) 10+ years of experience, including public accounting and industry Background in inventory accounting (manufacturing or distribution) strongly preferred Strong leadership skills Process improvement focused Bachelor's degree Compensation: The salary range for the role is noted in this posting.
