Job Title Catering Specialist Department Hospitality FLSA Classification Exempt Job Summary The Catering Specialist oversees station catering inventory and ensures aircraft are provisioned in accordance with company hospitality and presentation standards. This role supports the onboard experience by maintaining product quality, readiness, and consistency for daily operations. Responsibilities Perform inventory counts and resolve discrepancies. Verify catering loads meet flight schedules and service standards. Monitor product quality, expiration dates, and food safety handling. Coordinate with operations during schedule changes and IROPs. Communicate shortages, substitutions, or vendor issues in real time. Inspect presentation to ensure brand standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and organization of catering areas and equipment. Serve as the sole inventory owner for the station, including placing orders and maintaining PAR levels. Review, reconcile, and submit catering invoices for payment. Assist with vendor deliveries, credits, and returns. Track usage trends and recommend order adjustments. Maintain inventory records, logs, and audit documentation. Qualifications High school education required. Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel) required. Must have flexible scheduling availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and inclement weather operations. Must be at least 21 years of age due to handling and transport of alcoholic products. Physical ability to walk, lift up to 75 lbs., pack/unpack boxes, stand for prolonged periods, and organize materials within the catering facility. Basic Requirements Position requires frequent physical activity including walking, lifting up to 75 lbs, packing and unpacking boxes, prolonged standing, and organizing materials within the catering facility. Must have flexible scheduling availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and operations conducted during inclement weather. Must be at least 21 years of age due to handling and transport of alcoholic products. May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
