Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in Utilization Review or Utilization Management for a 13-week contract in Northern California.

This opportunity is ideal for an RN who enjoys clinical documentation review, evaluating medical necessity, and supporting appropriate patient care and resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records and clinical documentation.

• Evaluate medical necessity and appropriateness of healthcare services.

• Support utilization management processes and clinical review requirements.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote appropriate care and resource utilization.

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow applicable policies and clinical guidelines.

Requirements

• Active California RN license.

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.

• Previous Utilization Review or Utilization Management experience.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Proof of a negative TB screen within the past 12 months.

• Ability to work the scheduled weekday day shift.

Location & Housing

The assignment is in the Arcata, California area. Temporary housing may be available in Arcata, Eureka, McKinleyville, Blue Lake, Samoa, or Fortuna.
