Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Profession: Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: Nights

Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM)

Experience: 24 months of current/recent ER experience required; recent travel experience highly preferred.

License: Active Iowa or compact/multi-state nursing license required.

Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support, AHA) required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support, AHA) required
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support, AHA) required
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Competency) required
De-Escalation Certificate (CPI, MOAB, MAB, SAMA) preferred
NIH Stroke Scale certificate nice to have

Must-Have:
All required certificates must be active.
Skills checklist specific to the emergency department is required.
Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or manager within the last 24 months is preferred.


Description:
The RN will work in the Emergency Room, providing critical care to patients in emergency situations.
The RN will conduct assessments, develop and implement care plans, and effectively communicate with the healthcare team.
The RN will administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patient responses.
The RN will ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
The RN will be required to work every third weekend, including holidays when scheduled.
Weekend rotation will be part of this position.

Candidates must be available for all required shifts and rotations.
All certifications must be kept up to date throughout employment.
The RN must possess strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
Teamwork and communication skills are essential for this role.
