Finance ManagerLocation: Davenport, IA 52806Job Status: Full Time/ Direct HireDepartment: FinanceReporting to: Vice President Finance and OperationsDirect Reports: The Finance Department consisting of Senior Accountant, Accounting Analyst and Systems CoordinatorOverall Role / Main Function of the Job:To manage the US Finance function, ensuring smooth day to day operations, preparation of monthly and annual financial information, including actuals, forecasts and budgets; to manage and control working capital levels.Main Duties & Tasks:Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory management, and purchasingLead the monthly financial close processResponsible for preparation of monthly financial reportsOversee daily transactional posting to general ledgerMaintain 12-month rolling cashflow forecastPrepare and distribute a 12-month rolling inventory forecast on a weekly basisResponsible for accurately calculating and recording landed costs on all inbound inventoryOversee sales tax collection, reporting, and reconciliation processPrepare, track, and report on established key performance indicators (KPI's) to the leadership teamAdditional Responsibilities:Assist with annual budget and quarterly reforecast processAssist in the preparation of year-end reportingLead the preparation and review of all supporting documentation for the annual auditMaintain schedule of all capital assetsAssist with preparation of all external financial, tax and compliance reportingReview and approve all bank reconciliations monthlyOversee monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accountsAct as backup to Finance Systems CoordinatorAct as liaison with outsourced IT provider as necessaryWork directly with Group Finance for reporting and the reconciliation of cross-chargesOther duties as assignedExperience and Competencies:Accounting and Finance Experience 5 -10 years' experience in a mid to senior level accounting position. CPA preferred. Thorough knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis. Experience with sales tax preferred Exposure to foreign currency working in a multi-currency environment desirable. Experience with SAP (Business One) would be advantageous, but not essential. Literacy in computer-based applications such as Microsoft Office. Must be able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Industry Experience:Experience of working in a manufacturing, warehouse and/or consumer hard goods environment beneficial.Education & Skills:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Personal Traits High level of initiative. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Must be able to organize and prioritize with strong project management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a pre-requisite. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Quick, decisive and communicative.
