About This Role
Join our dedicated teams n Beacon Falls and Prospect, CT, to support and inspire school-age children in a safe, engaging environment. You will assist lead teachers in implementing educational activities, managing classroom dynamics, and supervising children during before and after-school programs and activities. This role is perfect for energetic individuals looking to make a positive impact on young learners within a supportive community.
What You'll Do- Assist in planning and implementing daily activities for school-age children.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Support students with homework and educational projects.
- Communicate positively and effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working with school-age children in a structured setting.
- Ability to pass background checks and fingerprinting required by Connecticut state regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification and Administration of Medication Cetification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Credits or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Connecticut childcare licensing regulations.
- Experience organizing recreational games, arts and crafts, or team-building activities.
