Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is a one-of-a-kind state of the art Skilled Nursing Facility located in Lake Katrine 5 minutes off of exit 19 on the New York State Thruway. Easy access for public tranportation. Northeast Center offers programs not found in any other nursing home in the region.

Responsibilities:
- Gives basic nursing and personal care to residents/patients assigned
- Helps residents/patients maintain or regain activities of daily living.
- Helps residents/patients with personal needs, such as eating, elimination, bathing, grooming.
- Ensures residents/patients are physically comfortable and assist them with mobility and activity needs.
- Provides physical and emotional support to residents/patients.
- Attends to residents/patients' psychological comfort and social needs, such as by answering the call bell promptly, providing privacy, assisting with communication, and showing respect.
- Ensures a clean and safe environment for residents/patients.
- Assists the nurse with assessment and care planning, such as by taking vital signs, observing residents/ patients, and reporting and recording observations.
- Provides support services, such as transporting residents/patients or cleaning equipment.
- Takes direction from RN's and LPNs to conduct the care plan.
- Makes observations and reports them according to facility policy.
Requirements:
- Certified as a nursing assistant and in good standing with the NYS Nursing Assistant Registry
- Available to work every other weekend and alternating holidays
- Strong skills in effectively caring for residents in a calm, respectful, and patient manner
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Compensation:
- Rate will be commensurate with experience.
