Pay: $16$19 per hour (based on credentials and experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, MondayFriday Infant Lead Teacher Early Learning Classroom
The Learning Experience Canton is seeking a caring and dependable Infant Lead Teacher to guide our infant classroom and support children during their earliest stages of development. This role focuses on creating a nurturing and responsive environment where infants feel safe, supported, and engaged through consistent routines, sensory exploration, and positive teacher-child relationships. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys building strong connections with families while leading a warm and organized infant classroom environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom routines for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months
- Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and nap supervision
- Implement developmentally appropriate sensory learning activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Observe and support developmental milestones and early communication skills
- Guide assistant teachers and maintain classroom consistency
- Communicate regularly with families regarding routines and developmental progress
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies
- Prior childcare experience required
- CDA preferred but not required
- Infant classroom experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices
- Reliable, nurturing, and team-oriented approach
- Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
