Security Officer Armed
As a Security Officer Armed in Saint Paul, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to changing site needs. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card or License.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering restricted or operational areas.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
