Practice Setting

• Inpatient hospitalist service, adults only.
• Closed ICU, you may serve as attending for stable patients awaiting an ICU bed.
• Typical day census starts around 14 to 15 patients per hospitalist, high around 19.
• Team support includes 6 providers during the day, 3 NPs, and 2 MDs at night, with NPs seeing about 30% of patients.

Cases and Procedures

• Hospitalist work only, no procedures.
• No codes.
• No admissions, you will manage established inpatients and follow ups.
• Not expected to participate in rapid response.

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Internal Medicine board certified, board eligible within 5 years accepted per board eligibility requirements.
• Kentucky license required
• Drive-in candidates only
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA required.
