Warehouse Line Worker

A warehouse line worker is responsible for repetitive tasks on a designated "line" within a warehouse, primarily focusing on picking, packing, and sorting products according to customer orders, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency to meet daily production goals, often utilizing warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels; your duties may include receiving incoming shipments, checking for damage, and ensuring proper storage within the warehouse, as well as operating material handling equipment like forklifts when necessary.


Key responsibilities of a warehouse line worker:

• Order fulfillment:
  Accurately picking products from designated warehouse locations based on customer orders, scanning items to verify accuracy.
• Packing:
  Properly packaging products for shipment, including adding protective materials and labeling boxes with necessary information.
• Inventory management:
  Maintaining accurate stock levels by performing regular cycle counts, reporting discrepancies to supervisors.
• Receiving and processing shipments:
  Unloading incoming deliveries, inspecting for damage, and sorting items for storage.
• Labeling and sorting:
  Applying labels to products and sorting them according to designated areas within the warehouse.
• Operating warehouse equipment:
  Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment as needed.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety:
  Keeping the warehouse workspace clean, organized, and adhering to all safety regulations.
• Teamwork and collaboration:
  Working effectively with other team members to meet daily production targets.

• Physical stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move heavy boxes, and perform repetitive motions.
• Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy when picking, packing, and labeling products.
• Basic computer skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking.
• Ability to follow instructions: Adhering to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Basic math skills: Performing simple calculations for inventory checks.
