Intern This self-motivated individual will assist with a multitude of earned media monitoring and reporting while getting to experience the day-to-day activities of a fast-paced agency. The best candidates will possess strong analytical skills, writing and proofreading abilities, have a solid understanding of media relations and current events, and have previous relevant internship experience. We seek strategic thinkers who can help tell a story about our client’s earned media results and stay informed on the latest news - all of which contribute to growing clients’ presence. The position also requires an individual with a passion for emerging media and an understanding of social media as it applies to business. Responsibilities: Support the Intelligence teams, including: Supporting media monitoring and reporting across the business Monitor competitor activity Conduct media sentiment analysis Supporting creation of media lists Tracking analytics and providing support for results reporting Creating searches and reports within reporting platforms such as Meltwater to track earned media and social conversation Compiling industry research and insights Helping transcribe industry events using AI-powered platforms Qualifications: Strong research skills and ability to summarize large amounts of data into digestible takeaways Strong writing skills Knowledge and use of AP Style writing Understanding of what makes news and current events Ability to meet deadlines promptly and effectively Great attention to detail, enthusiasm, organization, multitasking, and desire to be a team player Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work individually Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Pay $15/hour Hours 40 hours per week TruePoint Communications is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
