The Physical Therapist Weekday Per Diem provides physical therapy services to individuals and their families in a team relationship with other health care providers in a setting that is designated by the department.

A day in the life of a Physical Therapist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

• Performs all functions associated with the evaluation of patients for all age groups within the department's responsibility.
• Performs all functions associated with the execution of therapeutic treatment for all age groups within the department's responsibility.
• Completes all documentation required within the regarded timeline according to department.
• Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.) This process includes communicating with the patient, parent and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.).
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
• Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 100 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy school.
• Minimum 0 to 2 years experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Physical Therapist License.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 100 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.

Compensation Flat Rate of $58.66 Hourly HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
