Skills and CompetenciesStrong experience designing and building enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and reactive programming patternsPreferred experience with modern front-end development using Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, reusable component design, forms, data grids, and spreadsheet-style user experiencesHands-on experience with relational databases, SQL, PostgreSQL, schema design, data modeling, migrations, and data-access patterns for business-critical applicationsExperience integrating distributed systems using service APIs, event-driven patterns, caching, secure service-to-service communication, and contract-driven developmentWorking knowledge of cloud-native engineering practices, including containers, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, API gateways, and environment configurationAbility to troubleshoot complex issues using logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, performance analysis, and root-cause investigation across user interface, API, data, and deployment layersDesired experience with scripting or automation languages such as Python, including use cases such as developer tooling, data validation, operational support, test automation, or workflow efficiencyDemonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. The team focuses on delivering critical financial analytical tools, AI-driven applications, and driving platform modernization through strong engineering practices, and an AI-first mindset, contributing directly to the Moody’s core business and technology strategy.For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $116,500.00 - $169,000.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus.
