What You Will Do Design, implement, integrate, and test embedded software for advanced avionics navigation systems Develop and execute verification plans, procedures, and test cases for GNSS algorithms, navigation functions, and integrity‑monitoring software Apply automation, scripting, and GenAI‑enhanced tools to improve verification quality and efficiency Collaborate with navigation algorithm, systems, and hardware engineering teams to ensure robust end‑to‑end system performance What You Will Learn Core GNSS concepts, including GPS signal structures, tracking algorithms, navigation filters, and PNT system performance Techniques in jamming/spoofing detection, RF threat analysis, and resilient navigation techniques DO‑178C DAL A development and verification practices for safety‑critical avionics Qualifications You Must Have Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session. Experience with embedded C/C++ software development Proficient in using Python/MATLAB for signal analysis, test vectors, and prototyping Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
