Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,929–$1,961 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights) Setting: skilled nursing facility Travel assignment with dedicated support and credentialing assistance Responsibilities Deliver nursing care using the nursing process, either directly or through delegation to supervise staff Assess patient needs, plan, implement, and evaluate care; involve patients and families in goal setting and discharge planning Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including fluids and respiratory therapies; document care appropriately Monitor patient conditions, report significant changes to physicians, and initiate remedial actions in emergencies Communicate clearly with physicians and other health team members; ensure accurate handoffs and timely documentation Teach patients and families about disease management, medications, and treatment plans; coordinate shifts to ensure continuity of care Assist with orientation and ongoing education of staff; participate in infection control and safety practices; maintain confidentiality May assume responsibilities of nurse in charge as assigned; promote a positive work environment and problem-solve to maintain quality care Requirements Current Registered Nurse license in the State of South Dakota Current CPR certification Ability to obtain ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire TNCC certification for solo Emergency Room coverage within six months of hire Demonstrated ability to provide safe, effective nursing care consistent with the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act Ability to work in a rotating 12-hour shift pattern within a skilled nursing facility setting Willingness to participate in ongoing continuing education to maintain clinical competence Benefits and Support Assignment support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC, including travel coordination and credentialing assistance Ongoing recruiter and assignment support throughout the travel engagement Access to resources for compliance, orientation, and clinical development Guaranteed hours and per-week compensation as specified Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
