About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, BLS; TNCC preferred Must-Have: Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients. ICU experience required. Positive attitude and flexibility. Ability to work well in a team. Desire for excellence and self-motivation. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a diverse environment. Description: This is an ICU nursing position in a high-acuity environment. The unit has 26 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. All care is provided by registered nurses. Staff includes RNs and unit secretaries. Advanced equipment utilized includes ventilators and IV pumps. Documentation is done using a specific clinical system. Nursing shifts are 12 hours, from 7:00 to 19:00, working every other weekend. Holidays are required as per the schedule. Nursing staff may float to other medical-surgical units as needed. Patient experience focuses on hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and compassionate care. The unit is striving for excellence and certified in various areas. Employees are expected to have thorough assessment skills and knowledge of critical care management. Procedures performed include intubations, cardioversions, and renal replacement therapy. Dress code includes specific uniform colors, with additional scrubs provided for COVID-19 patients. This unit has received recognition for quality measures and excellence in care. Many staff members are nationally certified and have extensive experience. Self-scheduling is available within certain guidelines. The unit has a strong commitment to patient care and employs advanced technology.
