Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit at our community hospital and regional referral center will provide care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility has 171 beds and is accredited by the Joint Commission with a certified Chest Pain Center and Level 3 Trauma designation. Nurses will be expected to float to other units such as IMC and ED as part of their duties.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry patients and manage care for a 1:6 patient ratio.
• Administer medication and therapy according to provider orders.
• Provide patient and family education related to medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Utilize Medhost for electronic health records documentation.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.

Required Experience

• Two years of recent acute care experience.
• Experience with telemetry nursing.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona.
• ACLS certification required.
