Technician Responsibilities

Responsibilities will be based on experience and certification level and may include:

Perform maintenance and repairs listed on repair orders

Complete oil changes, tire services, inspections, and routine maintenance

Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems

Use diagnostic equipment and Mazda special service tools

Test-drive vehicles and verify completed repairs

Inspect vehicles and identify additional maintenance or repair needs

Communicate findings clearly with Service Advisors

Complete warranty repairs according to Mazda requirements

Maintain an organized work area and follow all safety procedures

Qualifications

Entry-level through Mazda Master Technician experience considered

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record

Basic computer skills

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Willingness to learn new technology and repair procedures

Automotive education or previous repair experience is helpful but not required for entry-level applicants

Preferred Experience And Certifications

The following are preferred for experienced applicants but are not required:

Mazda manufacturer certifications

Mazda Master Technician status

ASE certifications

Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions licenses

Dealership or independent repair experience
