Rocky Mountain Prep opened its first school in 2012 with 130 students and has grown to four schools, working with over 1,800 scholars across two districts. • Elementary: Pre-K Students show 1 year of growth
• Elementary: Kinder through 2nd Grade Students Grow 1.25 years in ELA and Math
• Elementary: 40% of 3rd through 5th Grade students meet their Millionaire Goal (1 million words read)
• Middle School: 40% of 6th through 8th Grade Students meet their Millionaire Goal (2 million words read)
• High School: 100% College Acceptance

Each member of the organization plays a part in achieving these goals. School-based staff members will work towards 2 or 3 metrics that are aligned to both their individual roles AND the Big 5. Position Overview: Rocky Mountain Prep is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to serve as the Chief of Staff to the President of Academics and School Operations. This critical leadership role is designed to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of the President and ensure seamless execution of key cross-team initiatives. This position will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to provide exceptional educational opportunities for our students. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with the President, Chief Academic Officer, Chief of Schools, and the President of People and Business Administration to align on priorities, integrate work plans, streamline decision-making processes, and execute the strategic vision of our schools. Project Management: Oversee complex projects and initiatives for the Schools Team, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively, and that key milestones are achieved on time and within budget. Communication and Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including Schools Team Board Committee members, Network Support Team, all staff, partners, and community members. Facilitate the communication and information flow between the President and various constituents and stakeholders. Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on critical issues, trends, and opportunities in education and charter school management. Prepare reports and presentations for the President to inform decision-making. Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of Rocky Mountain Prep's strategic plan. Monitor progress toward goals and help identify necessary adjustments. Policy and Compliance: Stay current on relevant policies, regulations, and best practices in education and charter school operations. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards. Crisis Management: Provide support in times of crisis or urgency, helping the President make informed decisions and coordinate responses as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within a charter school network, education nonprofit, or similar setting.
• Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of successfully executing complex initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to synthesize data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders.A strategic thinker who can translate vision into action and results.

$115,000 - $160,000 a year This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with the flexibility to work in-office and/or remotely (if remote, regular travel to Denver will be required). This is a Managing Director-level role, with a salary range of $115,000 - $160,000. The typical work day for this position is 7am-5pm MST. Employees not living in the Mountain Standard Time zone will be available during MST working hours.
