As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Daytona Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location as an armed access control officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and professional communication. You will support daily operations with routine patrols, strong customer service, and teamwork, while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and authorized personnel by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, screen visitors, and document arrivals and departures to help support authorized access throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, access irregularities, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Communicate with site contacts, employees, visitors, and/or public personnel regarding entry requirements, restricted areas, and other security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around entry points, lobbies, and the perimeter, as assigned, noting unusual activity and reporting observations through proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
