As the primary point of contact for assigned customer programs, you will oversee project execution while ensuring customer expectations, quality requirements, schedules, and budgets are achieved. How You’ll Keep Projects Moving:
- Lead cross-functional teams including Engineering, Machining, Quality, Assembly, Supply Chain, and Shipping to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the primary customer contact, providing regular updates and proactively managing expectations.
- Coordinate all phases of manufacturing programs including New Product Introduction (NPI), prototype development, production launch, and ongoing manufacturing support.
- Track and report project performance metrics including schedule adherence, quality performance, cost, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
- Facilitate customer meetings, project kickoffs, design reviews, and production readiness reviews.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with quoting and estimating activities by providing lead time, capacity, and resource planning input.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing complex manufacturing projects with technical requirements and tight tolerances.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership.
- Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Experience within precision machining, aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of NPI, prototype development, and production launch processes.
