The role serves as a bridge between junior accounting staff and accounting management and works closely with the Controller, Financial Planning & Analysis Director, and Assistant Controller to align financial plans with organizational goals. Essential Functions Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports. Oversee general ledger operations and month-end/year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., GAAP). Assist on internal and external audits. Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records. Assist with preparation of documentation tax returns. Follow accounting policies and procedures. Communicate financial insights to senior management. Staying updated on industry trends, accounting principles, and regulations to maintain a high level of expertise. Month End Prepare bank reconciliation. Prepare inventory roll forward. Prepare accounts receivable roll forward. Prepare fixed asset roll forward. Reporting Prepare property tax returns. Prepare sales tax returns. Leadership & Team Development Mentor and guide junior accounting staff. Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (CPA preferred). 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance. Minimum Of 3 Years Of Management Experience The ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions is vital. Personal Attributes Honest and trustworthy.
