Private Duty Registered Nurse

Provide private duty nursing care in patients’ homes Promote Elara Caring’s philosophy, mission statement, and administrative policies Maintain patient and staff privacy and confidentiality under HIPAA Privacy Final Rule Respond to daily patient assignments according to divisional guidelines Submit required documentation and receive physician orders Review patient assignments, Plans of Care, and Coordination Notes before service delivery Use clinical assessment skills to make sound health-related judgments and decisions Adapt scheduling to client needs Report and document client complaints and occurrence events Observe clients for abnormal signs and symptoms and promptly report them to physicians and clinical staff Report significant patient findings and collaborate on interventions Document services provided and changes in client condition or home situation Submit clinical notes promptly Communicate schedule, patient, physician-order, and special-instruction updates to branch and clinical staff Participate in ongoing review of clinical practices and learning activities Perform other assigned duties and projects Report to the Branch Director, Clinical Manager, Clinical Supervisor, or designee Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 1+ year of experience as a nurse in a clinical setting Registered Nurse (RN) in the state or in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) rules Must be able to travel to patient and client homes Dependable vehicle Driver’s license and insurance maintained as required by state law Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment Ability to work FRI-SUN or SAT-MON 12-hour shifts Ability to work in the Warsaw area Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in private duty nursing care, clinical assessment, and patient documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
