Job Title: Project Accountant
Location: Danville, CA
Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00/hour DOE
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Full-Time, Onsite

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Prepare and process project invoices in accordance with client agreements, project requirements, and billing schedules.
• Analyze project financial data to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making.
• Serve as a trusted resource for clients and internal project teams regarding billing questions and account-related concerns.
• Research and resolve invoicing discrepancies while maintaining positive client relationships.
• Maintain accurate project and customer records to ensure data quality and system integrity.
• Monitor project financial activity and communicate relevant updates to project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers to support contract compliance and financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall billing processes.

To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1+ years of accounting, billing, project accounting, or financial support experience preferred.
• Experience working with Deltek Vantagepoint is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business software applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and an eagerness to learn new systems and processes.
• Experience supporting engineering consulting, construction, professional services, or project-based environments is a plus.
