Telemetry Technician

Location: New York, NY

Job Type: Contract

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Telemetry Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and advanced ECG interpretation in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong arrhythmia recognition skills, experience with telemetry monitoring systems, and the ability to respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes and monitor alarms.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Active Telemetry Certification Required

• Current BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross)

• Dysrhythmia Course Completion Required

• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Telemetry Technician Experience in a Hospital Setting

• Strong ECG Interpretation and Arrhythmia Recognition Skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Applications

• Perform continuous ECG and telemetry monitoring

• Interpret cardiac rhythms and identify dysrhythmias

• Recognize and respond to life-threatening rhythm changes

• Initiate code procedures and document cardiac rhythms during emergencies

• Perform electrocardiograms with proper electrode placement

• Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and alarm systems

• Communicate rhythm changes and critical findings to nurses and physicians

• Enter and verify physician orders in the electronic system

• Retrieve and communicate laboratory results to nursing staff

• Maintain accurate patient monitoring documentation

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and patient safety standards

• Safely operate telemetry and monitoring equipment
