Maintenance Supervisor

Oversee and supervise all Maintenance activities for the facility to achieve production uptime and yield goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Oversee all maintenance activities, including machine and facility troubleshooting and repair, preventative maintenance, and spare parts management. Develop, maintain, and supervise maintenance staff within budget, including but not limited to scheduling, skill development, disciplinary action, and performance evaluation. Organize and maintain spare parts and materials management system within budget to support maintenance activities, including accurate inventory accounting, sufficient stock quantities, sourcing, and procurement. Coordination activities of the maintenance planner would include planning and creating work-orders in a CMMS; work with mechanics on job walkthroughs and parts lists creation; understanding plant timing requirements; and assuring quality job completion. These planned tasks will come from the maintenance manager, plant action lists, CMMS planned activities as well as production and maintenance shift reports. The maintenance planner must be able to work with vendors and OEM’s to collect and distribute proper information for planned work. This includes clearly and effectively communicating this information to the internal maintenance team or contractors performing the function. The maintenance planner must also be able to work with the purchaser to coordinate parts for planned tasks, planned inventory stock, and emergency orders. Employee is responsible for following (and/or implementing/supporting/maintaining) Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Defense, Food Safety and SQF programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have the ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment repair situations. Must have prior hands‑on mechanical experience. Must have ability to troubleshoot process, mechanical, electrical systems, PLC programs; motor VFD’s and other electronic systems. Must be competent in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Access, and other computer applications. Majority of work is done walking, standing, bending, and squatting.
