Assistant to the Operations Manager

We're seeking an Assistant to the Operations Manager to work directly alongside our Operations Manager and learn the day-to-day functions that keep our agency running smoothly. Stable company with exceptionally low employee turnover Direct mentorship from an experienced Operations Manager Long-term career path with growth opportunities Small, collaborative, team-oriented environment Learn every aspect of agency operations Company-paid employee medical insurance Quarterly performance-based discretionary bonus Opportunity to become a key contributor to the future of the organization What You’ll Be Doing Working closely with the Operations Manager, you’ll assist with essential accounting, administrative, and operational responsibilities, including: Initial Responsibilities Client billing and invoicing Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing Collections and payment follow-up Surety payables management QuickBooks data entry and reporting Bank reconciliations Processing incoming payments Client communication regarding billing and account inquiries Maintaining digital files and documentation Providing administrative support for agency operations As Training Progresses Payroll administration support Compliance and licensing activities Non-resident licensing management Agency reporting and operational projects Surety operations and carrier relationships Learning all critical functions of the Operations Manager role Qualifications Required 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, administrative support, or related experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly Positive, professional attitude Dependable and trustworthy work ethic Preferred Insurance agency experience Surety industry experience Administrative or operations support experienceExperience in accounting, bookkeeping, AR/AP, collections, or office administration Who Thrives in This Role?
