About the Role:

The Seafood Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring that customers receive high-quality seafood products while providing exceptional service. This position involves managing the seafood department, including the display, preparation, and packaging of various seafood items. The Seafood Clerk is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the seafood area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, this role requires engaging with customers to provide product knowledge and recommendations, enhancing their shopping experience. Ultimately, the Seafood Clerk contributes to the overall success of the store by promoting seafood sales and fostering customer loyalty.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a retail or food service environment, preferably in seafood or perishables.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of seafood varieties and preparation techniques.
• Food safety certification or training.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in selecting seafood products and provide information on preparation and cooking methods.
• Maintain the seafood display, ensuring products are fresh, well-stocked, and attractively presented.
• Prepare and package seafood items according to store standards and customer requests.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and receiving seafood products.
