Position Summary: As a Tool Maker, you’ll perform complex bench, machine, and finishing operations to maintain and enhance precision fixtures. You’ll play a key role in improving operations performance, leading training for junior staff, and working with a high-performing technical team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan, layout, and execute fixture and tooling maintenance work with minimal supervision. Modify and maintain complex fixtures to optimize performance. Operate and set up all Tool Room equipment and machinery. Perform advanced machine set-ups that may require tool modifications. Monitor and inspect tool performance and quality. Instruct and mentor other Toolmakers, Machinists, and Technicians. Operate overhead cranes as required. Assist in machine troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair. Maintain all documentation associated in tooling and machine setups. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Wire EDM and Esprit programming experience is a plus. Completion of a state sponsored Tool & Die or Mold Maker apprenticeship program or equivalent industry experience. 5+ years of related experience in tooling manufacturing Skilled in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting Soldering, brazing, and welding a plus. CNC programming and CAD experience (Solid Works) is a plus. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Solid computer skills a plus.
