More About Our Team Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital - Chandler rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. How You\'ll Contribute A Respiratory Therapist who excels in this role: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment; monitor for and address potential side effects. Administer ordered respiratory therapy treatments; understand indications, dosing parameters, and possible adverse effects. Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators; perform associated critical-care duties such as airway management and tracheal suctioning. Assess pain that interferes with function or rehabilitation participation and notify the physician for appropriate intervention. Perform arterial punctures to obtain ABG samples; recognize potential complications and contraindications. Perform EKGs, document/report results per department procedure, route to requesting providers, and file reports appropriately. Perform other duties as assigned. Professional Development: Ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities. What We\'re Looking For Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy. Current state Respiratory Therapist license. Current CPR certification (BLS required; ACLS per unit requirements or preferred). Three (3)+ years of cardiopulmonary/respiratory care experience highly preferred. Mechanical ventilation and airway management; oxygen/therapeutic modalities; ABG sampling and analysis; EKG acquisition and workflow; pain assessment/communication; EMR documentation; teamwork and time management.
