About the Position

Job Title: RN - Med Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Telemetry Must-Have: Candidates must have the required certifications or they will not be considered for the role. Description: This is a contract position for an RN in the Med Surg unit. The shift will be from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The contract duration is 13 weeks. General skills required include BLS, NIHSS, and Telemetry experience. No call requirements are associated with this position. The unit consists of 28 beds and operates with a patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1. The staff includes charge nurses, RNs, and patient care technicians. Common equipment utilized includes Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, and Telemetry. The EMR system used is Meditech. Preferred candidates will have 3 years or more nursing experience and knowledge in epilepsy care. An open-to-feedback mindset is important for team collaboration. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with a specified logo. This is a competitive role, and the unit may have new equipment and technology that enhance working conditions.
