Acme Brick Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is an organization of professionals in the manufacturing and building material distribution industry. We manufacture brick and distribute our own brick as well as brick and associated products manufactured by others. We operate in 13 states with a philosophy that we are much more than a brick manufacturer and distributor.

We are currently seeking a "best in class" Receptionist with excellent organization skills and a personable disposition to operate multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and direct callers to appropriate associate. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations, maintaining procedures, communication and customer service. Essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Welcome visitors, determine nature of business and announce visitors to appropriate associate. Provide visitors and callers with requested information.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and transfer to appropriate associate or department.
• Gain sufficient information from the caller to direct them to the appropriate person or department.
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned, such as filing, copying, and faxing, collating, opening and sorting mail.
• Assist all departments administratively upon request

Skills and experience required for success:

• Experience working on multi-line telephone system
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills required

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required
