Material Coordinator

Job DescriptionPosition Description:This position will report to the Materials Manager. The Coordinator for the Materials Department will supervise the materials associates that are responsible for pulling parts and bringing the parts to the production lines.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:· Read and follow work orders and labels· Moving and manipulation of various materials and supplies· Tape measure accuracy· Communication skills – two way radio· Read and sign for materials· Basic math skills for inventory reporting· Work independently· Computer proficiency – AS400, Word, ExcelQualifications:· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen· Basic reading, writing, & verbal skillsKnowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:Experience and education are a plus; however, it’s not required. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions. The employee needs full range of motion in arms and hands, all Materials Coordinators must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some employees also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds.
