Summary of Position and Responsibility The Operations Manager for Single Family Cabinetry is responsible for overseeing the cabinetry operations specific to single-family residential projects. This role involves managing the design, production, and installation processes to ensure high-quality cabinetry solutions for single-family homes. The Director will lead a team, develop strategies to meet client needs, and ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget. Oversee cabinetry operations for single-family projects: Manage the design, production, and installation of cabinetry for single-family homes, ensuring high standards of quality and client satisfaction. Lead and manage teams: Supervise and mentor design, production, and installation teams. Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and ensure effective teamwork. Develop and implement strategies: Create and execute strategies to optimize cabinetry solutions for single-family homes, including process improvements and cost‑saving measures. Coordinate with stakeholders: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other departments to align cabinetry solutions with project specifications and client requirements. Ensure compliance with standards: Monitor and enforce adherence to industry standards, company policies, and project specifications. Conduct regular quality checks and address any issues or deviations. Manage project timelines and budgets: Oversee project schedules and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial constraints. Implement measures to address any delays or cost overruns. Drive innovation and improvement: Stay informed of industry trends and advancements. Implement new technologies and processes to enhance cabinetry solutions and maintain competitive advantage. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) Knowledge: In-depth understanding of cabinetry design and production processes. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for single-family cabinetry. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in cabinetry design software and project management tools. Abilities: Ability to oversee multiple projects and manage resources effectively. Ability to solve complex problems and make strategic decisions. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders. Qualifications (Education, Certifications, and/or Training) Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field. Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. Required Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in cabinetry design and production, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing single-family projects. Preferred Experience: Experience with advanced cabinetry technologies and processes, and a track record of successful project management. Work Environment This role operates in both office and field environments, including design studios, production facilities, and job sites. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands This role involves a combination of office‑based work and physical presence on job sites. It requires the ability to stand, walk, and navigate various locations, including production areas and construction sites. Visual acuity is needed to review design plans and conduct site inspections.
