We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Instrumentation & Control Systems (I&CS) Design Engineer. As part of our Northwest team in Bellevue, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our municipal clients’ water challenges locally and worldwide. You’ll get to work with our world-class Instrumentation and Control Systems team dedicated to protecting the most valuable asset in the world, water. You’ll work on projects from design through onsite startup work, lead development of Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), control narratives, specifications, network drawings, panel drawings, and instrument selection. You coordinate with other engineering disciplines for a cohesive design, mentor junior engineers, develop control system software in PLCs and HMIs, perform facility startups and commissioning activities, review construction submittals, conduct site evaluations, recommend control system upgrades, and communicate with clients and management. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university or college Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain Minimum of 8 years of experience in Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development, control panel layout and wiring, mentoring, working across time zones, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Ideally, you’ll also have: Experience with PLCs and HMI programming software Experience with MCC and VFD control requirements Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
