Job Title Senior Tax Analyst – DePuy Synthes Job Locations Raynham, MA; West Chester, PA; Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Warsaw, IN; Raritan, NJ Job Function Finance – Tax Overview The Senior Tax Analyst partners closely with Finance, Accounting, and external advisors to ensure accurate tax filings, effective tax controls, and compliance with evolving tax regulations. The role supports U.S. and international tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities, and contributes to process improvements and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns and related workpapers. Support quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740, including effective tax rate analysis. Assist with indirect tax activities (e.g., sales/use, VAT) as applicable, coordinating with internal stakeholders. Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accurate tax‑related journal entries and reconciliations. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess potential impacts to the business. Support tax audits and inquiries by gathering documentation and coordinating responses with advisors. Contribute to tax planning initiatives and continuous improvement of tax processes and controls. Maintain compliance with internal policies, SOX controls, and documentation standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required). 4–6 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or dual experience. Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and reporting. Experience supporting income tax provisions under ASC 740. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional partners. Proficiency with Excel and tax or financial reporting systems. Experience in a multinational or regulated industry environment (preferred). Exposure to international tax concepts and transfer pricing (preferred). CPA or progress toward CPA certification (preferred). Experience with process improvement or automation initiatives (preferred). Familiarity with SOX controls and audit support (preferred). Language requirement: English (required). Travel & Certifications Travel: up to 10%, primarily domestic. Preferred certifications: CPA or equivalent. Benefits Vacation: 120 hours per calendar year. Sick time: 40 hours per calendar year (48 hours in Colorado, 56 hours in Washington). Holiday pay, including floating holidays: 13 days per calendar year.
