Professional Engineer – Civil Land Development Department: Construction, Engineering, & Skilled Trades Employment Type: Full Time Location: Florida Reporting To: OBA-966 Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000 / year Description Professional Engineer – Civil Land Development Location: Boca Raton, Florida or Port St. Lucie, Florida Primarily onsite. Limited remote flexibility may be considered only for highly experienced candidates with extensive South Florida land development experience. Employment Type: Full-time, W2 Compensation Base Salary: $75,000 to $120,000+ depending on experience Targeting lower to mid-range for mid-level engineers Absolute hard cap approximately $150,000 base Performance-based discretionary bonuses historically paid annually Overtime paid at time and a half over 40 hours Compensation is determined by licensure status, technical production capability, and level of independent responsibility. Schedule Monday through Friday Office hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Overtime available based on workload Travel Local municipal meetings and project site visits as required within South Florida. About the Opportunity This is a hands‑on civil engineering role within an established South Florida land development and municipal services firm founded in 1982. The firm maintains long‑standing relationships with major homebuilders and private developers and operates with a consistent project backlog and steady growth. This position exists due to sustained project volume and continued expansion. The firm is seeking a licensed Florida Professional Engineer capable of independently executing land development design work and managing permitting processes. Position Overview The Professional Engineer will execute and oversee civil engineering design projects focused exclusively on land development. This is not a purely managerial role. The selected candidate must actively perform technical design, calculations, drafting, and permitting work using AutoCAD Civil 3D. The role requires ownership of projects from design through permitting and construction support.
