Litigation Associate - Maritime Defense

Well established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its Houston office. This role focuses on maritime defense matters , offering the opportunity to work on complex litigation involving offshore, vessel-related, and admiralty claims.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle and support maritime and civil litigation matters
• Draft and argue:
  • Motions
  • Pleadings
  • Legal memoranda
• Conduct depositions and manage discovery
• Assist with case strategy and trial preparation
• Work with clients in the maritime and offshore industries

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience
• Experience with maritime or admiralty law matters
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage cases with increasing independence
